Critical Signal Technologies Mission Statement:
Critical Signal Technologies is a Health Services Company committed to offering innovative, cost-effective patient monitoring strategies for homes, hospitals and senior independent facilities in the U.S. and abroad. Our programs dramatically reduce unnecessary hospital admissions and allow individuals to live independently longer without compromising their dignity by providing real patient centered care.
Critical Signal Technologies, Inc. (CST) was founded in 2006 by Jeffery S. Prough (President/CEO) as a provider of 24-hour personal emergency response monitoring and related services to elderly, chronically ill or disabled individuals. Over the following 3 years, CST grew to over 15,000 subscribers and emerged as an industry innovator by integrating medication management, telehealth, managed care and multi-resident solutions in its philosophy of customized solutions and monitoring. In 2009, CST acquired the stock and assets of GTL, Inc. dba “Link to Life”, a 30 year old PERS monitoring provider in Massachusetts.
Today, CST is considered one of the fastest growing companies in the industry and is now the fourth largest, independent multi-channel PERS supplier in North America, with 80,000+ physical subscribers and over 300,000+ lifetime subscribers. We are considered to have the industry’s most flexible and scalable monitoring platform in the Nation and are supported by two fully redundant, multi-lingual, 24/7 Care Centers located in Michigan.
CST is taking on an integral role in health care reform. The application of our technology provides an avenue for early intervention during a crisis. Our ability to proactively alert health care providers of changes in their patients’ status and our ability to intervene and assess an emergency, whether real or perceived, helps to drive down health care costs and reduce unnecessary hospital readmissions on costly emergency medical transportation.
Because of our incredibly scalable and flexible technology infrastructure, CST leads the industry in the development, delivery and support of innovative solutions. Additionally, CST’s multi-tenant pull-cord replacement provides property managers and owners with the ability to move efficiently manage their resources, reduce their liability and provide their residents with the peace of mind that they can alert emergency assistance from anywhere within their building.
We are a Michigan Based Company that consistently gives back to our government funded partners and the communities they serve. CST was one of seventeen companies awarded the 21st Century Jobs Fund from the MEDC. We received two million dollars and have created over 200 jobs right here in Michigan over the past few years. CST is the national preferred provider for the n4a (National Association of Area Agencies in Aging), sponsoring their Aging Innovations & Achievement Awards, we are Sponsor for the 4AM (Area Agency on Aging Association of Michigan) conference every year and we are a Sponsor of the AASC (American Association of Service Coordinators) conference every year sponsoring the Innovation in Service Coordination Award.
CST-LTL is proud of the awards and recognition we have received acknowledging why we are the choice of state health agencies, health insurers, agencies on aging, physician groups, hospitals and other health and safety experts.
